Body Life is the monthly newsletter of the 120 Fellowship, an adult class at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California. Jane edits and contributes to this periodical, which usually runs about 16 to 20 pages, and does the page layout. Her husband, Dave, writes a lead article each month as the class president. Regular contributors include Roy Schulz, a teacher and historian who writes a column called “History and the Supernatural,” with a focus on examining historical events from a spiritual perspective. Monthly columns include the “World Christian Report,” a roundup of news briefs about the Kingdom of God around the globe.

The 120 Fellowship was founded by C. Peter Wagner in 1982, at that time a professor at Fuller Seminary’s School of World Mission. Peter and his wife, Doris, taught and led the class until 1995 just before their move to Colorado Springs to help found the World Prayer Center. The class has taken as a theme verse Acts 1:8: “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.” Like the 120 disciples praying in the upper room (Acts 1:12–15), we seek a close, personal relationship with the Lord, and believe that, from this relationship, spiritual power can flow to every area of the Christian life and witness.

Past issues of Body Life are available on the Lake Avenue Church web site. Please check out both the 120 Fellowship and the numerous other ministries offered by LAC.
