Jane Rumph has a passion for communicating the love of God to people all over the world. Fascinated by cultures and languages, she has traveled to six continents and more than 40 countries. The renowned Urbana missions convention gave her a foundation for understanding God’s eternal purposes for all ethnic groups. In addition, friends around the globe who have dedicated their lives to ministry have inspired Jane with a heart of prayer for people everywhere to come to experience the depths of God’s love and grace through Jesus Christ.

A trip to Argentina in 1990 at the climax of “Plan Resistencia” transformed Jane’s worldview about the extent to which God operates in contemporary miracles and supernatural signs. The next year found her back in Buenos Aires at the inaugural Harvest Evangelism International Institute. In 1995 she had the privilege of traveling to Seoul, Korea, as a delegate to the Second Global Consultation on World Evangelization (“GCOWE 2”). Then in 1999 Jane and her husband, Dave, led a prayer journey to Konya, Turkey, capped off by “Celebration Ephesus.”

During an eight-year stretch as chronicler for both the International and the U.S. Strategic Prayer Networks, Jane wrote summary reports about each meeting for network members. In addition, she and Dave served on the board of directors of Global Harvest Ministries from its founding in 1992 by C. Peter and Doris Wagner till its reconstitution as Global Spheres in 2010.

Spiritual gifts of administration and teaching complement Jane’s organizational and communication skills. As a freelance writer and editor, she has enjoyed helping pastors, leaders, and others tell their stories in engaging narratives. She is a member of WIN (Writers Information Network) and a graduate of CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors, and Speakers Seminar).

Born in Elmhurst, Illinois, Jane grew up in Glendale, California, and was salutatorian of her Hoover High School graduating class. She earned a bachelor’s degree cum laude at Occidental College and has engaged in continuing education since then. In addition to travel, favorite activities include scuba diving, reading, needlework, music, and crossword puzzles. She and her husband, Dave, live in Pasadena, California.
